Internet Explorer version 6 for Macintosh does not include a popup blocker. Hence, no adjustment is needed (unless you have installed a third-party blocker).
However.... IE for Macintosh has a bug that prevents it from displaying .png files by default.
If displaying a graph produces the following dialog box:
1. Click "Cancel" to close this dialog box.
2. Open "Preferences..." from the Internet Explorer menu.
3. Click "File Helpers" in the "Receiving Files" section. (You may need to expand this category to see the option).
4. Scroll the right window until you find the MIME Type shown below:
5. Click the "Change..." button at the bottom of the window.
6. Change the "how to handle:" selection box to "View with Browser".
7. Click OK as needed to close the windows.
NOTEBrowsers normally retain the file-helper settings. However, IE for Macintosh has a bug wherein the .png setting is not retained. You will need to do the above steps each time you launch IE. |
